Weekly Devlog 16


Modeling the monster and everything takes a long while so that's why there hasn't been that much progress on other areas. On the plus side, I'm gonna start scene 7 tomorrow, that is almost half of the game done. Don't worry though, I'm not gonna take that much because I have the whole summer vacations to work.


SCENES 

  • Finished last area of scene 6 that will lead to scene 7
  • Finished thinking about the puzzle for this area
  • Ambience applied

SOUNDS

  • Remade footsteps
  • Recorded and edited water sound effects
  • Water footsteps

MONSTER

  • Model done (in normal circumstances this would have taken a few weeks)
    • Textures applied
    • Bones created
    • Still need to do animations

OTHER

  • Remade all of the Beretta 92 mechanics to avoid bugs
    • Now all of the events are handled through animations
    • These bugs include:
      • Shooting once used more than one bullet
      • Sometimes reloading one magazine reloaded two of them, often leaving you with negative amount of magazines (damn)
      • General bugs regarding variables
      • Equip animation being repeated because of poor animation tree management (This bug was also fixed with another item)
