Weekly Devlog 40


Heya, hope you're having a great Christmas Eve. 

This is probably going to be the last devlog before the game actually releases:

CUTSCENES:

  • Created all the missing cutscenes:
    • Ending
    • Before the final boss
    • Introducion to first enemy

MUSIC AND AMBIENCE

  • Added ambience for two of the cutscenes
  • Synced music with final cutscene
  • About to finish the track that plays at the beggining of the game

FINAL BOSS

  • Fixed final boss map mechanics

SFX

  • Added some other small sound effects that were missing or were needed:
    • Sound for picking up items such as supplies and ammo
    • Variations to the hurt SFX of the final boss
  • SFX have been added to the final boss and the map
  • Partially implemented the voicelines
    • They've already been edited and synced correctly
    • The only thing left is adding them to the game 

OTHER 

  • Fixed some bugs in scene 4, specially regarding the cutscene that played there
  • Already pre-planned the implementation of some missing interactions
  • Started designing:
    • Game logo (almost done)
    • Possible variations of the main menu
    • Options menu


I'm very excited about the game's release, and I hope I can actually release it by this last week of the year. However, if some last minute error comes up I may have to take a few more days to finish it. But I believe I can put Call From Within out before the year ends, so I'll work extremely hard to publish the game and announce it through here on itch, youtube and my other socials. Hope y'all having a great time, and I'll see you again when the game releases.
