Devlog #11 - Water Shaders and Visual Fixes



SHOWCASES

VISUAL IMPROVEMENTS

  • Made waterfall shader adapted to various shapes
  • Added "mist" particles for waterfalls

  • Made new water shaders for puzzles and decoration  
  • Started improving inventory and HUD 

SFX

  • Added waterfall SFX  
  • Made some ambient sound effects for the main areas

SCENE CHANGES

  • Modeled one of the missing sections for scene 5
  • Fully decorated most parts in scene 5
  • Decided monster placement and various important locations

BUG FIXES

  • Particles can now be seen through transparent materials like glass and water (also fixes weird shading on the edges when particles are active)

  • Fixed shading on barrel (made out actually smooth) 


Sorry for the added delay on this one, the waterfall thing took way longer than I expected, and so did the render I attached at the beginning. Still, now that that shader is done, it'll be a while until I have to do something as time-consuming as that (modeling the next monster that is). So, I'll continue doing more progress on the scene itself, as it's probably one of the most complex ones layout-wise
