Melee weapon and gameplay updates - Devlog #6




WEAPONS

  • Added melee weapon to the game:
    • Animation manager created
    • Recorded sounds for it 
    • Inputs added
  • Created blocking mechanic which blocks certain amount of damage depending on the weapon equipped
  • Player code can now handle different viewmodels with the same snippet of code
    • Player gets curently equipped weapon from the player resource, which also includes other useful parameters

MAPS

  • Fully designed scene 3 (and probably part of 4) map and their mechanics
    • Will include a pair of puzzles leading to the end of the demo
  • Continued modeling and texturing scene 3
  • Monsters placed on scene 3

OTHER

  • Added corruption effects to objects instead of camera (appears in the demo)
  • Modeled and textured screwdriver for the first part of scene 3


  • Started designing logo for the demo


  • Designed menu and revamped inventory design
  • Made some ambience
